Summer is winding down and I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I will be welcoming the cooler weather. This heat wave in Socal is way too long!
Yet, the end of summer means the beginning of school and all of the chaos that comes with it.
When The Company Store approached me with their summer linen sheets and bedding, I was happy to explore what they offered.
As you know, I love sharing things that I feel genuinely passionate about and their bedding was a lovely addition to the room.
The linen sheets were cool to the touch and I loved the detailing of the sheets too. The perforated border was a subtle nice touch.
When I saw the Barrett quilt in pastel, I thought of my trip to Sedona.
I will forever be a stripes girl so having this fun print in a subdued tone is the perfect design win!
Whether it’s the shams or quilt, layering with fun stripes brings Sedona into my guest room. How fun is that?
As I said, we are going through a major heat wave and layering bedding is the key to well rested sleep.
Too heavy of a blanket, and you’re sweltering before you even say good night.
Too little and in the middle of the night, you’re waking up annoyed wanting more warmth.
A combination of linen sheets with a quilt for later in the night is a great way to stay just perfectly warm on a summer night!
So, does this make you want to go get linen sheets? I bet it does!
I can assure you my family definitely loves the new bedding. We are still fighting over who gets to stay cool every night in this room!
Little Natalie especially loves hanging out here!
I hope you are enjoying the last month of Summer before Fall welcomes us. I know this bedding will stay through the Fall too because the layers work so well in all temperatures.
Happy day!
This post was sponsored by The Company Store. However, all opinions are my own. I love sharing what is true to my aesthetics and what helps you choose and style your next bedroom transformation. Thank you for your support!
hey anita, just wanted to give you a little feedback on your posts these days. I have always really loved your blog, and have read every single post of yours, and I think that it is one of my all time favorites, right up there with Emily Henderson. You have a unique style of design, and your voice is just too funny! But something that both I and my other friends that read your blog have noticed is that the amount of content that you are delivering per post is getting smaller. While I still love a quick and fun post, I feel that there is just not enough valuable info in a blog post about using travel items in your room even though the office space was stunning. And the guest bedroom makeover was just not right and many of us felt that it looked a lot better before without those blankets, and did not look curated and thought out like normal. I absolutely LOVED the post about re-doing your tween daughter’s room, and all the makeovers that you do, though its been awhile since you have done one. I also really loved the posts about incorporating vintage rugs into home and redoing your little girl’s bedroom.
Anita, I have been a avid reader of your blog since the beginning and love reading every single post. Just a little feedback to help improve your AMAZING corner of the internet and I truly hope that this will help you. I really do not mean to be mean or anything, but just me and a couple other people’s opinion.
Cheers,
Maya
