Your Go-To Home Therapist
Growing up in a household of an architect and real estate brokers, I naturally fell into design. My background as a marriage & family therapist and real estate professional informs all my interior design projects. After all, these are homes we need to really live in!
When helping my clients find the home of their dreams it was as much about the inside as it was the location. So my designs emphasize wellness from the inside out, creating thoughtful spaces that empower my clients to live their best lives.
Anita infuses vibrant energy into her designs, employing intentional color schemes and thoughtful layouts. Her signature style seamlessly blends high-end and budget-friendly design solutions, offering a refreshing take on timeless aesthetics. A master at layering textiles, Anita skillfully integrates patterns and textures to infuse depth and harmony into every home.
Since the inception of her blog in 2016, Anita has garnered a dedicated following drawn to her relatable, positive demeanor and innate design sensibilities, evident across Instagram, Pinterest, and her website. Through numerous DIY projects and successful renovations, this former therapist turned designer has developed a methodology that prioritizes the relationships at the core of each home, a focal point explored in her book, "Home Therapy!"
My superpower is helping women become the best version of themselves while pursuing the kind of life they actually want... one with abundant freedom, joy, and peace.
Recognitions followed swiftly, with Domino crowning Anita's site the Best New Design Blog in 2017. Subsequently, HGTV featured her in the design production of their 2019 Dream Home and Hidden Potential show. Real Simple enlisted Anita to design their 2019 Idea Home. In 2023, she assumed the role of judge for Apartment Therapy's Small Cool Contest alongside Bobby Berk and Maxwell Ryan, concurrently crafting a Small Cool inspiration space. Her work has been showcased in prominent publications such as Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, and more.
Anita, a Southern California resident, shares her vibrant home with her three lively daughters—Rachel, Emily, and Natalie. Alongside Travis, aka "Mr. Meticulous," her DIY partner and husband. Anita continuously explores innovative techniques for creating a more organized and intentional at-home experience.

in ‘Yes,’ and the power of ‘No.’
Uneven grout lines. Limiting Beliefs. Burn out. Keeping my mouth shut. Obligatory-Anything.
Jumping in with both feet. On vacay in the desert. Crafting with my daughters. Frantically running errands. Probably painting something.
My new mantra is "In the embrace of uncertainty, I find freedom; it's perfectly fine not to have all the answers.
