Accent tables are so much more than just a place to hold a cup of coffee and a book or two.
Today, I want to share with you a rad accent table round up! I’ll show you several wonderful ways accent tables can change your space no matter how large or small.
I have been searching for the perfect ones for the 2nd Annual Real Simple Home project in NYC and later in this blog, I’d love to get your opinion on which one you love the most.
As always, my top priority to you is sharing what I find! Let’s delve into the wonderful world of accent table round ups, shall we?
Accent Table Round Up: Find the Why
Finding your why for any situation is key. Why do you want this job offer to come through? Why do you want your event to be successful? Why do you want that chocolate donut on the kitchen table so badly?
Same goes for your home. Why do you want this piece of furniture in your haven? This is a very helpful and intentional question to ask yourself every time you are at the home decor store.
Do I need this in my life? Am I completely obsessed with this? Do I love it?
And can I afford it?
Or, maybe you have thought something was affordable, but you didn’t love it.
Please, for the love of God, don’t bring in more mediocre clutter into your home. I used to do that all.the.time.
And it was easy with small pieces of furniture. A small console here, a stool there.
An accent table was super easy to source. And not too expensive. But this is how the mountain of half functional and lackluster pieces of furniture in your home accumulates.
Raise your hand if you can relate right now?
In my experience, I ended up giving away quite a few tide over pieces of furniture. So please, before you buy anything, find your why.
For me, my why is the perfect accent table for the incredible Real Simple Home! My main priority? It needs to really showcase my design personality for the space.
Let’s go!
Accent Table Round Up: No brainer tables
First up, here are my absolute favorite go to tables. Hands down, they are the easiest ones to bring into your home that will stand the test of time.
West Elm| Martini Table
My Brass Martini table from West Elm has been literally everywhere in my home. From the living room, to the family room, to every single bedroom even the kids’ rooms!
It is low to the floor and modern, yet soft and inviting. You can use it to flank each side of a sofa, or in a corner with an accent chair. These sleek side tables have also served as a coffee table when there wasn’t that much space, and a cute night stand for the girls room. You could easily use them as a night stand in a grown-up bedroom too.
Additionally, this would look super cute as a plant stand as well.
There are different colors and metal finishes so the possibilities are endless with this table!
Second, the Sadie Drink table from Crate and Barrel is a favorite of mine to design into clients’ apartments or small space living projects. It gives just the right cozy, yet vintage vibe. Mixing it in with a modern sofa like this grey one is a perfect inviting look.

And third, the Tana Stool by Article is a great choice if you want to bring an organic element into an otherwise stark space.

The best example for this amazing table is in a room with a lot of metal or tile finishes. This beautiful bathroom needed something from the outside in. Wood is the perfect choice. I love how wooden stools are so useful for holding towels or bath accessories in a spa like environment.

Accent Table Round Up: 2nd Annual Real Simple Home 2019 Options
I love getting your input for my design challenges! And what better time to get your opinion than for the 2nd Annual Real Simple Home 2019.
I have three choices for the accent table round up today. Please feel free to comment on which ones you love the most.
First, Made Goods is one of my favorite places to source unique and stylish pieces.
I have always advised to use the high/low method in designing your home. If you need time to save up for something that you are obsessed with, then do it!
When it comes to inviting high-frequency vibes to your home, Made Goods will always knock it out of the park.
For example, look at the Addison small side table. I adore the whimsical, yet sophisticated shape.
This can easily go on either side of a lovely sofa or as an accent table with a well designed chair.

I love how the table top has a lip so things won’t fall or slip off easily. Adds a bit of character too, don’t you think?
Second, is this World Market round white marble and black metal accent table. I adore this table because of its price point and modern colors. Marble and black metal? They are two partners that will never go out of style. Ever.

Third, I am excited to share this new find! And it’s on sale!Urban Outfitters | Triangle Side table
Leave it up to Urban Outfitters to have unusual, yet oh so chic tables such as this Triangle side table.
Up until now, I have seen hexagon tables, but triangle? Genius!
It is a great statement piece and perfect for small space living too.
So, I have given you three amazing options to choose from! Which one would you love me to design into the Real Simple Home 2019?
I am beyond thrilled that we get to design this together! It is going to be so surreal to install all the pieces together in real life!
Happy day!
