Our marriage has already seen so much evolution over the years! We’ve taken on three kids, two career changes, and one quarter life crisis. We made some big changes, and we did it together. I’m excited for the next 20 years together, and all the DIYs in between.
Our trip to the Posada was a beautiful reminder to settle the mind, body, and spirit in order to create space for the new. This experience was so revitalizing for all of us—we feel so fortunate to have taken two weeks to reconnect as a family. I’m coming home so inspired!
When I was designing this room, I envisioned a winter wonderland with the beautiful green accent wall behind the bed. My new bedding from Bed Bath & Beyond evokes coziness and warmth. It literally makes you want to fall asleep all happy and relaxed!
We’re upgrading our Mid Century Modern Fence! And we’re painting it with Sherwin Williams 2021 Color of the Year: Urbane Bronze SW 7048. It’s a rich, grounding brown with grey undertones, that will look more sophisticated than the unfinished wood & warm up our patio for fall.
Infusing intention into a routine starts with ingredients! I want to be honoring my body with products that will not only beautify, but support my overall health. Each step features luxurious products that brighten my complexion and refresh my outlook. I’d recommend them to anyone!
For now, Natalie mainly “studies” in the WFH loft or the dining room downstairs. Both rooms are community spaces, so there are a lot of people walking by, aka, distracting her. headphones helps her tune out all the extra sounds and focus on listening to the teacher.
Renovations can cause of long-term stress, with some projects lasting up to 9-12 months. Some even reveal unwelcome surprises that add zeros to your bottom line! If you’re doing the whole house one room at a time, you may find yourself in a painful position for longer than you had initially imagined.
I have always and forever been a blue tones kinda girl. They’re soft and welcoming, while having presence and impact! Touches of blue and green are threaded throughout our house, especially in the kitchen and bedroom, where we want the most out of these harmonious shades.
Start with the spaces that will have the biggest impact on your relationships! Think about all ways you want to relate within any given room to both yourself and others. Once you know your big goals, this will inform decisions about functionality and aesthetics.
Our home office is a rotating door. I have a theory why our office has become such a family favorite: the chairs. We recently replaced our old wooden and wicker seating with something a little more plush from Sunbrella. What a world of difference!
