There is nothing that can prepare you for writing a book, shooting 18 homes during the pandemic and all the behind the scenes work it took to finally be here in this moment. The debut of my book Home Therapy is finally here! Cue stadium noise level of cheers!

Feeling allllll the feelings allll at once!

Talk about being vulnerable! I woke up this morning with butterflies in my stomach awaiting all the buzz and excitement that is anticipated. My book is sitting on bookstore shelves and people finally get to reach for it, touch the pages and enjoy the images. And most importantly, they can read about my method. Like in real time!

It boggles my mind that people who don’t know me from all over have the opportunity to pass the shelf and think  “Hmm, that looks really unique, I’ve never thought of interior design this way” as they reach for it and start flipping through the pages.

This entire process has changed me as a human. Like everything else in life at each stage I thought, ‘this is the hardest part.’ That is until I got the next hardest part and realized what a fool I had been.

Sort of like parenting. That first fever hits and you’re certain nothing you face will ever be as difficult until you’re watching your 5yr old put her backpack in her cubby at kindergarten. I can still taste my own tears from both of those days for very different reasons.

Point is, some stages of this process challenged my organizational systems like cranking out 110 pages of a manuscript that all worked and flowed together between my message as a marriage and family therapist like the HOME LOOP and my SKI SLOPE METHOD to the countless design ideas you’ll find in the book, like the modern family command center wall and a workout corner set up literally any where you decide! Mine was in my bathroom during the pandemic! 😂

This Book is My Passion Project for YOU!

As much as I have described my feelings and journey about the book, I wrote this book for YOU! As a giver at heart, I want to continue my passion of helping others feel more calm, confident and happy, especially at home! So writing a book made the most sense.

As I celebrate my book’s birthday with you, I also want to send you the utmost positive energy and vibes to you and your home. I am truly excited for you to dive deep into my book and find design takeaways and a deeper understanding of how you can improve your outdated kitchen and the relationships that live in the space at the same time. Oh! I just get chills thinking about the paradigm shift you will experience.

This process has expanded, enriched, and focused my intentionality for myself, my home, and my family. The funny thing is THAT is exactly the point of Home Therapy

I have full confidence that once you put your intentions into yourself and home, your journey will also be expanded into an amazing haven you have been dreaming of.
