The new year is almost upon us! With the hustle and bustle of the season, I like to make sure to take time to reflect on the past year as well.

This year,  my biggest design thrill was to be a part of the HGTV Dream Home 2019 Sweepstakes. 

Yes, you heard me right! I styled the HGTV Dream Home 2019 with Brian Patrick Flynn and his wonderful production team!

To be a part of HGTV and Brian’s team has been my dream come true. Serious goal fulfillment.

HGTV Dream Home 2019

For the last 10 years, my family and I have a tradition. Once the holidays hit, we eagerly anticipate the announcement of the HGTV Dream Home sweepstakes. Once it’s announced, we ooh and ahh at the location and home. Then we strategize who will enter and win the home for us.

I’m totally serious! We take this tradition very much to heart and we love discussing the design together as a family.

This year the location blew our minds away!

The location for HGTV Dream Home 2019 is breath taking. Whitefish, Montana is a nature lover’s paradise. Deer roam freely and the landscape is beyond what your eyes can fathom.

I am going to be really honest here, when I look at this image, I am so happy and proud!

Styling the room was creatively invigorating. And now to see the final look, it leaves me speechless.

I love how Brian brought in nature’s vibrant colors into the space. That is one of his many talents.

The ample seating and comfy textiles really round out the room.

Driving up to this entrance every day for a few weeks was so fun! Every day planning, prepping and styling this home was well, a dream!

Let’s tour the inside shall we?

Bringing Nature Indoors

Like I mentioned before, the myriad of Nature’s best colors are brought into this home. Not only colors but textures and woods as well.

The master bedroom was one of my favorite room’s to style. The canopy bed was slim lined so it didn’t take up the whole room. The colorful rug added whimsy and interest while the symmetrical furniture placement stabilized the design.

It’s all about balance isn’t it? This home definitely has that!

I loved the bathroom so much! To the left was a nice stand alone soaking tub and shower enclosure. How genius is that? I felt like you could soak in all the natural light and the vibes were ethereal.

This closet was incredible. So much storage and again, the light that came in made you feel so invigorated to start the day!

When I first arrived at the home and stepped into this warm and bold room, my heart lept 10 feet into the air! I have always been obsessed with a color coded library wall.

Brian really knocked this one out of the ball park though. And then for me to come in and style it? Dead.

The cute en suite bathroom was very inviting and I can envision friends and family staying here and never wanting to leave.

This room was the first space Brian assigned to me. I literally got off a plane after a 8 hour travel day and went into a full throttle style sesh. Did you know that the head board was custom made because there was a delivery snafu with the original headboard?

I am learning that in this creative world, you have to think on your toes fast to produce superb design inspo!

As you come up the stairs, there is the best loft area! This dream home begs for as many guests to come visit! I could totally hear the giggling of cute cousins or friends having so much fun here.

The upstairs ends with a large lounge room that is multi functional. In the front is a beautiful sitting area. The back has a cozy desk nook and work out area.

Last but not least is the backyard.

From the hot tub right off the master bedroom to the fire pit in the lower level, this home has everything you will need to enjoy year round nature’s activities and then the sunset view that goes along with it!
