Do you love shopping all the great deals during Memorial Day weekend?
I usually head to the Dez with my family every Memorial Day weekend and we do some shopping at a premium outlet mall.
However, this year, I think I’ll save myself the time and energy because Serena and Lily is having an amazing sale! Almost everything will be 20% off!
These stylish and whimsical beach towels are on sale and I love them so much I use them as bath towels! As we head to the pool this weekend it is my go to beach towels. They are super absorbent and luxurious with a fun whimsical summer pattern.
Now is the time to get ready for summer! I thought I would round up some of my favorites and share with you.
5 Things you need for a Coastal Home: Accent Chair and Lumbar Pairing
Besides rugs, I find that my collection of side chairs is growing! And we are running out of room for storage.
Does that stop me from perusing wonderful purveyors like Serena and Lily? Nope.
As I think ahead to my first floor renovation, I am dreaming about light, summery bright vibes for the newly appointed family room all year around.
This Clayton swivel chair in washed linen Indigo seems like the perfect blue accent.
I love indigo so much and it acts like a neutral. Just like a good pair of denim blues, I can add whatever pattern or color via lumbar pillows and it will look ever so chic.
I don’t think I’ll ever quit jute woven textiles. Be it rugs, pillows or shades, I am obsessed.
It instantly gives the room a raw and organic clean feel. So when I saw this Bali Pillow, I was in!
Even though the jute and indigo are both neutrals, the texture from the pillow sets it apart.
5 things you need for a Coastal Home: Bar Stools
I love going to the beach. And in my heart of hearts, someday I would love to live by the beach!
So it is natural for me to gravitate towards the coastal design. My style is quite eclectic infusing California and Pacific Northwest elements into each design.
Again, as my mind wanders off to the new kitchen, I am picturing a wonderfully huge kitchen island with room for bar stools.
The Balboa stools in grey really remind me of a brisk morning by the ocean with the beautiful woven cane texture and calming grey.
At the same time, I have been pining for the Carson dining chairs and stools for several years now! I noticed they added a Navy color and I am smitten.
I can’t get enough of stripes. Earlier you read about my love for woven textures. Two of my favorite things in one stool! Ack! I’d love to buy these now!
5 things you need for a Coastal Home: Rugs
I would be completely out of character if I didn’t mention rugs by this point!
If you know me by now, rugs is the name of my game. It simply is the best way to refresh a room. And you can really let your personality shine with different pattern, colors and style.
Have you heard of the Dhurrie rug? This rug style has been on my wish list and I am thinking it would be a great summer piece for any home.
Of course Serena and Lily has one just to my liking!
Isn’t it so good? I feel like I can dive right into that indigo blue. This is the epitome of a California Cool look.
This next rug is a true classic. You can’t go wrong with speckled flecks of blues and creams.
If you have a hard time deciding on a colored rug, this has the balance you need
especially for a summer look.
5 things you need for a Coastal Home: Pendant Lighting
Recently, I have developed a new crush on pendants. It doesn’t seem like a big deal. Everyone needs lighting.
However through my bathroom remodel and kitchen refresh, I have a newfound respect for what it can do to a tired old space.
For my kitchen, I chose a woven whitewashed gray pendant. I am so in love with it!
Serena and Lily offers a very similar one aptly called Summerland Outdoor Bell Pendant.
It has the scandinavian aesthetic that all minimalists crave yet it can be the perfect anchor for more patterns elsewhere.
For my bathroom, I chose a bold and dynamic pop of black color. My theme is black and white and white oak accents. So above the bathtub, it seemed natural to place a black pendant since the walls were all white tile.
If you are looking for some incredible summer deals for a coastal home look, I highly recommend checking these items out. I curated these just for you!
These are timeless pieces that will not go out of style anytime soon. I am definitely going to start stockpiling times now even though my renovation isn’t until Fall!
Happy shopping!
